Visit Fontainebleau

The day starts with the Castle of Fontainebleau, favorite residence of French kings and emperors during eight centuries.

An audio-guided tour inside the castle will be followed by some free time in the gardens .You will then cross the forest on your way to Barbizon, famous since the 19th century thanks to artists such as Millet, Rousseau and Stevenson.

Visit Vaux le Vicomte

Then off to Vaux le Vicomte, Nicolas Fouquet’s masterpiece which inspired Louis XIV considerably when he built the palace of Versailles. After lunch (included) you will have an audio-guided tour (available in French, English, Spanish, Italian, German, Japanese, Chinese Mandarin and Russian) of the main rooms of the Castle of Vaux le Vicomte.

The day ends with free time to stroll through the gardens and the carriage museum.
