Spend three days visiting Mont Saint-Michel in Lower Normandy and taking in the sights of the Loire River Valley castles.
Start your trip by reaching Mont Saint-Michel from Paris on Friday. Reach the abbey which sits at the top of the island and marvel at its Romanesque design. You will have free time until 4:30 p.m. to explore the rest of the village before departing for Angers.
You will spend your second day visiting the châteaux of the river valley beginning with a guided tour of the Castle of Langeais known today as one of the best remnants of medieval architecture. You will have free time to have lunch in the town of Amboise after which you will continue with a tour of the Castle of Clos Lucé Leonardo Da Vinci’s last residence. Finish the day by visiting the gardens of the Castle of Villandry.
Spend the last day in the Loire Valley touring the Castles of Chenonceau Cheverny and Chambord (the largest castle of the valley). Depart at 4:30 p.m. for Paris.
